About Cheryl

Sweet Spot Nutrition founder Cheryl Strachan knows that to achieve heart health for life, you need to find that “sweet spot”: food that’s healthy, tasty, and right for you.

As a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist, cardiac specialist, and author of the 30-Minute Heart Healthy Cookbook, Cheryl loves to banish food stress and help people with heart concerns get comfortable in the kitchen again.

The Sweet Spot Promise

an-apple-a-day

Sustainable cardiac nutrition is more than just eating right – it’s about finding that Sweet Spot that allows you to build nutrition habits that work, that last, and that leave you feeling satisfied.

I make the following commitments to each and every client I work with:

  1. I commit to helping you fall back in love with food again so that eating becomes less stressful and more enjoyable.
  2. I commit to helping you find your Sweet Spot and discover food that tastes good, that’s good for you, and that works for your life.
  3. I commit to helping you find success in the long term by building habits that aren’t just healthy but sustainable.
  4. I commit to doing all of the above through thoughtful, inclusive practices, free of shame or judgment.

Well-Being

I believe that well-being is holistic, incorporating both the physical and emotional aspects of health.

Practicality

I believe that cardioprotective nutrition has to be more than just heart-healthy – it must connect people with satisfying food that works in real life.

Respect

I believe that all healthcare – including those in nutrition services – must be welcoming, caring, and respectful of all.

Integrity

I believe in providing cardiac nutritional care that is honest, evidence-based, and rooted firmly in a foundation of integrity.

Cheryl takes an evidence-based, practical and delicious approach to heart-healthy eating, and follows Health at Any Size® principles. Highly recommend.
